Parish Council

The following section is dedicated to the work of the Elsenham Parish Council and each major topic is accessed via the buttons above. Most of the commentaries are mine however and they are only in this section because they relate to the matters covered here, they are my opinions and could run counter to those of the Council even though I am a Councilor. While we operate as a Council we do not cease to have opinions of our own. If you have a strongly held opinion I am happy to publish it here alongside mine, this is a village web-site. To see the Council’s stance on any subject the minutes are the definitive document and to that end I maintain an archive going back many years. If you wish to take issue with the Council’s posture on any subject you are free to attend the formal meetings during which there are periods set aside for public participation.

The village sign is now being adopted as the Parish Council’s Logo. It is hoped that it will come to symbolise the village the way the old line drawing of the pump house previously did. This image can be downloaded and used by village organisations and a larger version is available simply by clicking on this small one.
