M11 A120 Link

We have said a great deal about new settlements and roads, or the lack of them. In fact if we are to turn the developers away this issue is likely to prove crucial. The Birchanger roundabout is not coping well even though it has been improved greatly. A proportion of the westerly traffic on the A120 will ultimately turn north and this link will remove it from the congestion at Birchanger. Notice how it swings around the area the Fairfield Partnership places the 3000 new settlement!

If the new settlement were to get access to this road all our congestion objections would be finished.

We are currently not sure of the status of this option as we thought it gone but this is not the only document carrying it as a possibility, the David Lock document dotted it in too.
